Quite good !

I understand when you say it was too ambitous but still the talent of animation shows especially with your turn-arounds and when the camera is moving.

You should indeed concentrate on something simpler and maybe add some frame by frame sequences in it !

Animation speaking you have enough talent to stop doing stick movies and move on to the real stuff.

What can you pull out anyway to make people go "wow" in front a stick fighting ?

You should respawn in same scene

You should add an option to continue from last room, just add a _root.currentroom = value on the frame that each different non-dying room loads and add a continue button in the "your dead" screen on which you can add a serie of "if" and "else if" to go back to the _root.currentroom. Also if its not programmed like this already you should put the value reset in the first room (for the keys and pistol and crowbar and whatever you picked up) and not on the death screen.
